Today it was the turn for my personal annual classic, the olympic distance race of my very own club and organisation of Triathlon Mechelen.
Having won this race already 3 times, next to several other wins here on the shorter sprint distance, I was very eager to give it my best shot! The weather thought differently though, making it one of the most rainy races ever for me.
I had a solid performance all race long, being good up front in the race, and being able to finish it off with another win!! So that's number 4! Fun racing before home crowd with almost everyone knowing me and cheering me on!
Now time to recover from the race, from the cold and make myself ready to tackle my first ever half distance triathlon: the halve distance triathlon belgian champs. Only 6 days to go...
